Principal Investigator

I am three-fourth south Indian and one-fourth Texan at heart. I graduated from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani with a bachelors in Pharmacy and a double masters in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology. I moved to the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston for my doctoral studies on gender biased regulation of cytochrome P450s in the liver. This is when I got completely enamored by liver metabolism. I did my postdoctoral work at Baylor College of Medicine understanding the role of nuclear receptor signaling and bile acid metabolism in the liver of course!
