Lisa Kesler studied painting at the University of Illinois and illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her acrylic paintings are in private and corporate collections around the country. They have also been selected for placement in numerous healthcare environments. Kesler was introduced to printmaking as a senior at the U of I and continued exploring the medium on her own. Her current printmaking work explores the application of traditional letterpress equipment in the production of fine art prints and commercial posters. Kesler also strives to incorporate experimental printmaking techniques in her work. She finds most of her inspiration from the materials, tools and processes she uses. Beginning with a traditional medium, Kesler experiments to find alternative uses. Additionally, she combines techniques and mediums in her work, such as applying abstract linocut images to acrylic paintings.
